Godlike Alternative

Seedloaf's Comparison to Godlike.host

Seedloaf Premium starts at $6/month the same as budget paid hosts. But you get a custom-built control panel, a human support team in Discord, and the option to start completely free.

Common complaints

Why people leave Godlike

These are the things we hear most from players who switched.

Pterodactyl control panel, the same generic UI used by hundreds of other hosts
Ticket-based support with slow, impersonal responses
No free tier, you're paying before you've even tested the experience
Budget plans can underperform on heavier modpacks
No real community or team identity behind the product
It can be very difficult to cancel your plan

Why Seedloaf Premium is a better deal

Now, we’re not perfect; we’re far from it. There are certain things Godlike.host offers that we currently do not. We’re relatively new to the market, we only have servers in one location, no Bedrock support, and a number of minor issues.

What is true, though is that we have no incentive to profit off this service and no outside investment. That lets us stay competitively priced at $6/month while offering considerably more features. Our website is custom-built from the ground up instead of using Pterodactyl. Seedloaf really isn’t repurposed from a generic hosting template meant as a cheap cash grab; it was made by two nerds for the fun of it and it’s here to stay. :)

Seedloaf Premium gets you 24/7 uptime, premium hardware, offsite backups, and no ads (which are already very minimal and non-intrusive). You also get direct access to the team on Discord and access to exclusive chats. If you need help with your server; we the builders of the platform will manually respond. Let it be known; it’s not perfect but we won’t have some sloppy AI reading off a script for you.

Even if you intend to use Seedloaf Premium, we'd personally suggest starting on the free tier; give the server a test and upgrade if you feel the extra resources would be handy.

From real players

What players say

Real feedback from real players who made the switch.

Supporting Seedloaf is like a paradox. I love Seedloaf with all my life I think it's a very good server host specially for a free one, but if more people support Seedloaf the servers would be more full which might have more lag, but if seedloaf becomes niche then it wont have the support.

Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the free tier actually good enough for modded Minecraft?

Generally, yes. The free tier includes up to 5 GB of RAM, which handles the majority of Forge and Fabric modpacks quite comfortably. If you intend to use heavier packs or have a larger number of players, we suggest considering the Premium plan.

How does Seedloaf compare on performance?

We run on custom-built infrastructure. On a Premium plan, you'll get dedicated hardware with consistent performance, while the free tier is shared but optimized for casual play sessions.

What happens when I hit my disk limit?

Free servers have a 6 GB disk limit. When you're approaching it, we'll warn you in the dashboard and in-game. Upgrading to Premium removes that constraint and adds offsite backups.
