Do I need to keep my computer on for the server to run?
No — that's the whole point. Seedloaf runs your Minecraft server on our hardware, so the server stays online 24/7 even when your computer is off, you're at work, or you're asleep. Your friends can jump in whenever they want without waiting for you to start anything up.
Can I run mods and modpacks on my Seedloaf server?
Yes. Seedloaf supports popular mod loaders including Forge and Fabric, so you can install individual mods or a full modpack. If you're migrating an existing modded world, you can upload your world files and we'll get it running on your plan.
How many players can join at the same time?
Both the Plus and Pro plans are sized for friend groups. The Plus plan handles small groups comfortably, while the Pro plan's additional RAM and CPU headroom makes it the better choice if you're running a heavier modpack or a larger crew. The exact player limit also depends on your world's activity level and any mods you're using.
What is the difference between the Plus and Pro plans?
Both plans include 24/7 uptime, premium support, and offsite backups. The main differences are hardware and resources: Plus uses Intel Xeon Gold processors and is provisioned for smaller groups running vanilla or lightly modded servers. Pro upgrades to AMD Ryzen hardware with more RAM, more vCores, and more storage, which is better suited for heavier modpacks or larger friend groups. If you're unsure, start with Plus; you can always upgrade later.
Will my world data be safe? What happens to my backups?
Your world files are backed up automatically to offsite storage on a regular schedule. Both plans include multiple offsite backup slots, so there's always a recent snapshot to restore from if something goes wrong. You can also download your world files yourself at any time directly from your dashboard.
How do I get started if I already have a world to move?
Migrating an existing world is straightforward. After you subscribe and create your server, you can upload your world folder directly from the dashboard. If your world uses mods, make sure to note the mod versions you're running. Our support team can help you match the setup if you run into any issues.
What if I already have a free server?
As soon as the payment is completed your server will be upgraded. You will see a banner on your dashboard prompting you to migrate to your new premium hardware.
